How do you get the wool off the rabbit?
It can be combed, pulled or clipped. The method used depends on personal preference, what you are going to use the wool for and the breed of rabbit.
This is a new page. I'll be adding more questions and answers soon.
Doesn't Angora shed?
Only if it is processed improperly. If the angora fiber used is three inches or longer, it is spun with enought twist and the ply is tight, there should never be 'shedding'. Many people have experience with inexpensive angora that was machine spun and dyed, causing damage to the fibers, many of which were too short to begin with.
Do Angora rabbits make good pets?
Angora rabbits are very docile, sweet natured animals and certainly do make good pets, however, they are not for everyone. Because of their wonderful wool production, they require consistant attention throughout their lives. A potential owner must be able to make this committment for as long as eight to ten years, the rabbit's lifetime.
Do you sell rabbits?
Yes, but only to people who understand the level of care required and are willing to make the committment. For anyone interested in experiencing the great joy of owning their own Angora rabbit, I recommend doing some serious research first.
