These handspun yarns are created by using one ply of Angora and one ply of sheep. All dyeing and painting of yarn is completely hand done. Many of these yarns were made using Merino sheep wool. Merino is a very soft wool that nicely compliments the softness of Angora.
Some yarns were made from Angora carded with sheep wool. Many of these will have flecks of lighter color where the Angora nubs have landed.
The unique two-toned look is achieved by the degree that each fiber takes up dye. The sheep wool tends to pick it up more readily so it is usually the darker of the two.
